Local chapter began in 1963 as a partnership between WEBB DJ Rockin’ Robin, David Cohan, and Dick Klotzman. They promoted locally based concerts including bringing national acts such as Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, and Steppenwolf to the Civic Center.

Klotzman grew the business ultimately becoming a highly successful promoter. The company became known as Entertainment Concept Corporation in the ‘70s and provided booking service for many top performers in the country including David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, many Motown artists…

December 1968

Local artists such as Renaud & the Junction, Lemon Lime, Procreation, King Solomon’s Minds, and others were hired as opening acts for many high-profile events and concerts.

Priding themselves as a high service company they provided for every whim and odd request that some egocentric performers would request… such as 10,000 rose petals strewn on the hotel floor (the staff worked overtime to pluck the petals)… By the mid-’70s the company was promoting hundreds of shows per year nationwide with offices in Towson, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
