Former members of Top 40 band Freed At Last who in 1987 changed their format to music from the 1950s-1990s. The band members were Benny Mays (keyboards, lead vocals, guitar, percussion), Elliot Freed (bass guitar, vocals, keys), Brian Freed (drums) and Paul Zahn (guitar, vocals and keys). Thommy Neeson handled sound and lights.
Playground played a mix of danceable hits of the 1960s-1980s with some originals at venues such as The Sheraton in York, PA, The Barn, Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach, DE, Maxwells, PT Flaggs, Scandals, Studio B in Salisbury, Strapps, Randy’s California Inn and many high schools and colleges.
Originals include Life Groove, Click Click, Trouble, Get Funky, Get Down, Not Enough, and Evil Place.
