Heavy death metal band formed in 1993. Members included Rob Kline (vocals), Kelly McLaughlin (guitar, vocals), Tony Pernia (bass), and the original drummer was replaced with Chris Pernia (ex-Pranxter) in 1995.
In 1997 Pessimist toured worldwide with metal groups Vader, Broken Hope, and Monstrosity as part of the death metal “Extremities Tour.” They were signed to Boston based Lost Disciple Records, releasing CD “Blood for The Gods.” Performed at Milwaukee’s MetalFest in 1999. Group went through personnel changes in 1999. Pernia was replaced. Kline also left, with McLaughlin and Gary Daniels (guitar) taking over the lead vocals. Guitarist Mike Harrison was also a member before going on to Misery Index, and Mick Kimock (drums ex-Fear of God)…
By late 2000 the new group featured McLaughlin, Ralph Runyan (bass, vocals ex-New Jersey band Corrupture), with ex-Fear of God members Bill Hayden (guitar), and John Grden (drums).
