Guitarist Doug Lewis worked at Yeager’s Music on Eastern Avenue where he always kept up with the best equipment. He formed a rock band called the Mustangs along with Skip Harris (bass), Lenny (rhythm), and Jack Rebel (drums). The group played at the Rally Club, Jazz City, Spa Club…

After the band split in 1965 Harris went on to play in the Progressions. Doug briefly joined a Dundalk horn band called the Ron-Dells then formed his own band the Wylde Ones in 1966.
Lewis and Harris were eventually to score top 40 hits as members of the Peppermint Rainbow. Lewis later played in the Better Half, Inner Cyrkle, Phoenix, Admirals, Hub Caps, New Monopoly… Harris went on to As You Like It, New Diablos…
