Soul-funk vocalist and band leader, played as house band at the Keystone Jazz Room on Holabird Avenue. The group released a record in 1966 titled “Fresh Out of Teardrops” b/w “What Would You Do.” Johnson’s 1973 single “Visions of Paradise” was backed by Julius Brockington & United Chair.
