Drummer began playing with the Tracy McCleary Band at the Royal Theater in the early 1950s. Played with many Baltimore groups including the Band Box house band, Three B’s & a Honey, Phase One, Greg Hatza Organization… Toured as drummer for vocalist Damita Jo. Also worked with Jimmy McGriff, Hank Crawford, Lonnie Liston Smith, Sissy Houston, Tamm E. Hunt, and others. Member of Earl Wilson & Phase One in ‘00s.
His many recordings include performances on the Hank Crawford albums “Steppin’ Up” (1987 Milestone 9153), “On the Blue Side” (1989 Milestone 9177), and 1995 CD “Blues Groove” (Telarc 83381) with Jimmy McGriff and Hank Crawford.
