Rock/Power pop band named after the Greenberry Woods housing development on Northern Parkway. Founders Matt Huseman (guitar, keyboards) and Ira Katz (guitar) began writing songs while attending the University of Maryland in College Park. After graduating, the duo returned to Baltimore and recruited Brandt Huseman (bass), and Miles Rosen (drums).

The Greenberry Woods – October 1992

Their song “Are You in Love Again” was included on the 1992 Baltimore comp “Spitting Seeds.” Managed by John Lay, the band signed with Sire Records and released the album “Rapple Dapple” in 1994.

On the strength of their single “Trampoline” the group toured and opened for the Proclaimers, Debbie Harry, and others. They performed at the 1994 HFStival at RFK Stadium. By the time their second album release “Big Money Item” (1995 Sire) the group had split.

The Huseman’s continued as founding members of Splitsville. Katz went on to form the band Wonderfool.
