Rock/pop band evolved from Late Show. Released album “Pop Mutation” in 1987 featuring leader and songwriter Lu Maestro (vocals, guitar ex-Thieves, Thee Katatonix, Talk Show, Late Show), with Andy Rathgeber (guitar ex-Starider), Mark Reilly (keyboards, vocals), Brian Badger (bass), Ron Campbell (drums, vocals ex-Starider), with additional studio guitar work by Keith Thomas (original guitarist replaced with Rathgeber), and vocals by Mandy Kriss. The group played at the Galaxy Ballroom, Shaeffer’s, Eight by Ten, Maxwell’s, Nicky D’s, Max’s on Broadway, while also traveling to New York where they played the famous CBGB’s… They were voted Best of Baltimore in 1987 City Paper Reader’s Poll.
Their song “China Doll” was included on the various artists album “Essential Attitudes – Vol.II.” Their song “Destination” was included on the 1989 “Merkin Seedy Sampler” album (Merkin 305).
