Essex based original music band merged punk, metal, and rap. Formed in summer of 1993 and debuted at the Midway Café in Essex, the group performed once a month or so at clubs such as the Midway, Hal Daddy’s, and the Hyatt Eastside…

Members were Kevin Kulisiewicz aka ‘MC Splif’ (vocals), Len Wingle aka ‘Hashish Clay’ (guitar ex-Betrayer), Larry Connelly aka ‘EZ Wider’ (bass ex–Death Watch, Deadly Aggressor, Funk Junkies), Jimmie Redmon aka ‘Thai Stix’ (drums Juicy Lucy, Funk Junkies). Terry Connelly aka ‘Bud’ (ex- Death Watch) filled in for Jimmie on drums for a couple shows in 1993. In 1996 they added second guitarist Donovan Kropkowski aka ‘Dirtweed Don’ (ex-Death Watch, Deadly Aggressor), and percussionist Jason Heiser aka ‘J Smooth.’

According to Kevin the Ganja Bros were “known for practicing only on extremely rare occasions. When they did decide to practice, in lieu of going over old material the guys would instead write multiple new songs and usually perform them the following night without ever going over them again. That was the genius of the Ganja Bros. If a song wasn’t completely written within 15-20 minutes, then that motherf*er was scrapped and they would move on to the next one.”

Kulisiewicz went on to GRiM 430, Blessed Wrecks, Waste Water Treatment Plant, KRUG… The Connelly’s were on a ton of bands including Funk Junkies, Deadly Aggressor, Betrayer, The Star Position, SWIFTHOLLY, Sugar Truck, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Evolver, Tomorrow the World… Redmon was also a member of Funk Junkies, Waste Water Treatment Plant, The Star Position… Kropkowski also with Funk Junkies, Deadly Aggressor, SWIFTHOLLY, Purple Jimmy, Evolver, GRiM 430, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Tomorrow the World… Heiser also with SWIFTHOLLY, Waste Water Treatment Plant, “and a ton of other bands.”
