Old school R&B cover group led by vocalist Ira Glover (see bio). Keyboardist Freddy Rhuebottom (ex-Billy Anderson’s Apollos) had worked with Ira on The Avenue and heard that her group Priority had split up. He called and the two decided to start a band. They added Simon Magruder (bass), David ‘Sticks’ Brown (drums), and Larry (guitar)- later replaced with guitarist Mark Fedoruk.

Everyday People rehearsed at Baugher’s Orchard in Westminster. They performed at the annual Strawberry Festivals, and worked many local yard parties and outdoor festivals, as well as gigs in surrounding states and D.C. They were also seen locally at Nathan Henry’s, Sykesville Park…

The following borrowed from a publicity profile “This rhythm and blues five-member band from the Sykesville-Westminster-Baltimore area typically sets the stage on fire wherever they perform. From their early days of playing with such greats as Isaac Hayes, Wilson Pickett, The Temptations, Al Green, Ray Charles, Bobby Blue Bland, and Sly & the Family Stone this band has developed their extensive repertoire that is made more enjoyable with audience participation. The lead singer also happens to be the daughter of renowned jazz song stylist ‘Ruby Glover.’ Join the multitudes of folks left ‘Dancin’ in the Streets’ by this fabulous ensemble.”

After Freddy passed away, then Simon had health problems, they attempted a few replacement members, but the group finally split in 2008.
