Rock band evolved out of W.O.D. (Womyn of Destruction) led by Adriana Pateris (lead guitar, vocals), with Rob Girardi (guitar, vocals), Eric Bergander (drums), and Spoon Popkin (accordion), with new drummer Chad Jones coming on board in 1996, and bassist Beth Varden in 1997. Spoon left in 1998 while the group was recording their third album. The set was released later that year under the group’s new name Cicaeda.
Estrojet released a couple of 8-track tapes. Their 1996 album described by City Paper as songs that “that rock, grind, and shake like a heady hell-bound trip in a plummeting, doorless elevator.”
Their song “Revolutionary Flower” was included on 1997 Baltimore band compilation “Adventures in Mobtown” (Kwality 74202).
