R&B and jazz group including David Smith (tenor sax), Jimmy Wilson (trumpet), Bill Byrd (keyboards), and Bob Wyatt (drums).
Smith, Wyatt, and Wilson also played with O’Donel Levy. Smith and Wilson were also members of Julius Brockington’s United Chair and Magic Force groups.
The group played an April 1978 benefit concert for Jimmy Johnsun at the Sportsmen’s Lounge where they also were a fixture as Sunday night house band. Members during this period included Smith, Wilson, and Wyatt, with Mack Rucks (trumpet, flugelhorn), Bob Butta (keyboards), and Marcel Turner (bass). Seen at The Closet…
Smith played for Swing Central in the ‘00s. Wilson went on to release several jazz albums (see bio).
