Soul / R&B group featuring former members of Madhouse and other popular bands. They could be seen performing at the Club Venus. Members included ‘Hondo’ Scruggs (vocals ex-15th Chapter), Speed, Anthony Youngblood (guitar), ‘Elbow’ Elliott Barnes (keys, vocals), ‘P-nut’ Robert Johnson, Steve Johnson, Dino Marrison (bass ex-IBM’s, 15th Chapter), and ‘Bop’ (drums).
Their signature song was a cover of the Shorty Long classic “Function at the Junction.” Energy released the song on a single in 1973. Their manager Phil Collector also managed vocalist Bob Brady at the time, and brought him in to sing on the record. The record was produced by Brady and Joe Cash and reached the national R&B charts.
