Dundalk teen rock band. Members included Steve Treadaway (lead guitar), Pete Kempf (rhythm guitar), Norman Bland (bass), Dana Ferguson (drums), and Bob Treadaway (vocal).

Electric Society guitarist Steve Treadaway, circa 1968

Steve (see photo) recalled “We did standards for the day “House of the Rising Sun”, “Heart of Stone”, “Purple Haze”, “Fire”, “I Wonder What She’s Doing Tonight”… We played a band competition for a new amplifier company I think it was at Martin’s Eastwind. We didn’t win but got rave reviews for harmony singing. We did “Sky Pilot” by the Animals. Also played at the Kitchen Door in Dundalk. We were just school kids then and didn’t play for any big events.

Played Dundalk Jr. High School, the Kitchen Door Teen Center, Martin’s Eastwind…

Steve and Bob later with Ginger Mash… In ‘90s-00s Steve played bass in Surfside, SC bluegrass band Sawgrass.
