Vince was formerly a member of the Jerry Trotta Orchestra in early ‘50s, and The Vibra-Notes in the late ‘50s-early ‘60s. After striking out on his own, the pianist and his Trio performed at many clubs including house band stints at the Pike Lounge, and the Gaslight.

During the mid-’60s the Vince Dipaula Orchestra featured the voice and song stylings of Gene Smith (ex-Four Notes). DiPaula performed jazz at Ocean City clubs, and a stint at the Wishing Well Lounge as a duo with bassist Billy Guisti in 1973. In the mid-’70s Vince and his Quartet featured another ex-Vibra-Note member – Hook Smith – and could be seen performing at Gambrinus.

Vince continued performing locally into the ‘00s, seen at McCafferty’s Lounge, and the Windows Lounge in the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel on Pratt Street…
