One of the top sax players in the Baltimore area, Tony could be seen in various incarnations of his Band. As the Tony Dee Quartet in 1959 they could be seen at the Surf Club, Jazz Room, Patapsco Inn…
From 1960-’64 his Quintet could be seen at Minnick’s Celebrity (with the Hook Smith Twist Band), the Holabird Inn, Keystone Inn (with the Punchinellos). Also seen with the Aristocrats as the weekend house band at the Keystone Club throughout parts of 1963-’64.


Later performed as the Tony Dee Quintet at Minnick’s, Keystone (on double bills with the Strollers), Sweeney’s (with the Panics), Escapade, Latin Casino… Tony also appeared at the Wishing Well on October 10, 1977 in the Battle of the Sexy Saxes vs. Teddy Bell, Al Baitch, and Al Rossi.
