Folk group performed ethnic Irish, Scottish, and classical works. Their 1985 self-titled album featured Chris Norman (flute, tin whistle), Ken Kolodner (hammer dulcimer, fiddle), Dominick Murray (guitar), Myron Bretholz (bodhran, bones), and Alison Brown (cello). The album was voted Best Irish Folk Music in Baltimore Magazine Reader’s Poll.
Norman, originally from Nova Scotia, played for the Baltimore Consort, and traveled worldwide with his Chris Norman Ensemble, and as a member of Helicon.
Kolodner, recognized as one of the world’s top hammered dulcimer players as well as a highly regarded old-time fiddler, went on to perform and tour worldwide with Helicon, Greenfire, and as a solo artist. He has appeared on numerous radio programs including NPR, Voice of America, All Things Considered… His 1997 CBS-TV Christmas special earned an Emmy nomination.
Murray’s studio work includes guest spots for O’Malley’s March.
