Pianist, studied at the Peabody Conservatory. He began playing professionally with Tracy McCleary’s Royal Theater house band, and local group the Rhythm Kings. He toured with vocalist Damita Jo in the early ‘60s. later moving to New York where he worked with many top jazz artists including Sarah Vaughan, Charles Mingus, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, Elvin Jones, and many others. He toured as a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers.
A highly sought after studio musician, Daily passed away in 1984.
