Also known as Bobby Williams & the Country Flames. Country group led by Bobby Williams (lead guitar, vocals) who sang like Elvis, with Harvey Carey (rhythm guitar, vocals ex-Musical Four), Joeann McGowan (fiddle, vocals), Rudy Darr (sax, woodwinds, drums, vocals –big band leader), Paul Carter (bass, vocals), Terry Starr (vocals), and Ronnie King (drums).

The Countrymen performed as long-time house band at the Satyr House, booked by owner Bob Leonard. After the Satyr House closed, they worked for three years as house band at Mimmie Lorenzo’s.
