All African-American heavy rock band that actually preceded groups such as Bad Brains, and Living Color. The Upper Falls based group featured lead guitarist Josh Scott, who went on to perform contemporary Christian rock. The Jackie Dee Band placed 2nd out of 11 in a battle of the bands sponsored by the Baltimore Sun and hosted at Oddfellows Hall, Towson on April 2, 1982.
