D.C. based group also seen performing around Baltimore clubs. Members included Joe Triplett (lead vocals, harmonica ex-Reekers), Tom Guernsey (guitar ex-Reekers, Hangmen), John Guernsey (keyboards ex-Reekers), Francis Day (guitar), Happy Acosta (lead guitar), Mike Henley (keyboards ex-Reekers), Frank Sprague (bass), and Reggie Brisbane (drums). The band lived in a communal farm house in Warrenton Virginia. A single was released in 1974 by the John Guernsey Group on Sweet Breeze Records (RI 3937) “All the King’s Horses” b/w the Claude Jones song “The King of Slang.” The group also released a 7” mini-LP (Sweet Breeze 777) featuring the songs “Sykesville,” “Lonely,” “I Talked to a Man Today,” “Kuan Tai,” and “Lesson to Learn.” The picture cover featured a photo of the Sykesville train station.

John Guernsey headed up many other projects including a 1976 album “Twelve Songs by John Guernsey… With The Mystery Band” (Adelphi 4108).
