Disc jockey originally from Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in Baltimore in the ‘60s Brown was influenced by all the great local DJ’s. In 1972, known as Johnnie B, he began working at gospel station WSID. He later moved to James Brown owned radio station WEBB where he worked throughout the ‘70s in roles as air personality and Program Director.

In the ‘80s he worked at Magic 95.9, then WXYV (V103) where mayor Schaefer dubbed him “The High Priest of Soul.” Brown went on to stints at WITH-AM, WEAA-FM, as well as his “Turn ‘em on Productions,” and programs on ultimateoldiesradio.com.
