Rock band originally known as Another Language. Members included Lisa Matthews (vocals), Mike Gehl (guitar ex-Neige), Mark Evanko (bass ex-Joanne Dodds Band), Doug Scrivener (sax, keyboards, vocals ex-Neige, the Reactors), and George Kondylas (drums, vocals ex-Grecian Odyssey, Scratch ‘n’ Sniff).

Their song “On the Moon” was included on 1985 album “8 Essential Attitudes” (Frantic 003). Their song “Laughter” was featured on the various artists album “8 Essential Attitudes Vol. II” (Frantic 008).

Beyond Words released a self-titled album in 1986. They were voted Best Progressive Rock Band in the 1989 Baltimore magazine reader’s poll.
