Rock band from Odenton that evolved from teen bands the Group, and Brotherhood. Badge played teen centers, school dances, proms, and clubs. The band released a limited pressing self-produced psychedelic rock LP in 1974 titled “Kath I.” Musicians on the album included Brent Buckley (lead guitar), Jim ‘Cheese’ Sollers (rhythm guitar), Bruce Lapier (bass), Bob Georg (trumpet), and Val Rogolino (drums). Brass was added to their later recordings. Additional members included Frank Moultrie (guitar ex-The Group, Brotherhood), Kevin Parker (lead guitar), Timmy Goodson (piano). Goodson’s dad Tom managed the group during the mid-‘70s.

Sollers and Rogolino wrote and recorded hundreds of original songs. They released a small run (60 copies) of their indie album with hand drawn jacket. The album was reissued in 2012 by Lion Productions.

Parker and Goodson went on to join Trix… Moultrie later with Today’s People…
