One of the most popular female country vocalists in the Baltimore area from the mid-‘70s until her retirement in the mid-‘90s.
Carol performed with many of the top local groups including Winnie Bullock’s Carroll County Ramblers, 301 Country at Stabile’s, Frank Turner’s Outlaw Band at the Bolero Lounge, the Pumpkin Patch Pickers who played regularly at the Bolero and the Pumpkin Patch, as well as guest appearances with many other groups.
During the ‘80s she led her own group Sizzlin’ Country, and was a semi-finalist in the national Wrangler Jean’s vocalist contest.
Carole (now Cook) later married and moved to West Virginia. She continued to do occasional performances with the Pickers who became known as Key Largo in the ‘00s.
