Southern rock band from Carroll County. The band was founded by Mike Rice (lead guitar), and Ralph Rogers (rhythm guitar), rounding out the group with Bob Crabill (vocals, harmonica), Dave Evans (bass), and John Russell (drums).
The name originated partly from Bob Crabill who liked the name Allison Creek. Ralph suggested Creed instead of Creek, and Mike came up with the alternate spelling of Allison to Allysin giving a nod to how Lynyrd Skynyrd used an alternate spelling using the letter “y”. The sin part instead of son just sounded more aggresive.

Jim replaced Dave Evans on bass after about two years. When Jim left he was replaced with bass guitarist Ed Dobie.
The group later reformed after Bob Crabill passed away, replacing him with Ronnie Rogers (lead vocals). Ed Dobie passed away and Phil Gange replaced him on bass. Valerie Rogers joined as backing vocalist on a couple songs.

Allysin Creed played American Legion’s (Sykesville), Moose Clubs (Westminster), Frankie’s (New Windsor), Windsor Inn (Woodlawn), Islander Cafe (Essex), The Pit (Westminster), Riverbank (Sykesville), Rabbit’s Foot (Frederick)…
Mike says “My first band was the Allysin Creed band. My second band that I played in was Southern By Choice, the third one I started was Pathetic Eddie. All three bands played around the Carroll County, Baltimore County and Frederick County areas. After that I started another band called Every Mother’s Son that played mostly Skynyrd, and now (2026) the band I play in is Brickyard Road which is a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. We play in the MD, PA, DE areas but have traveled from Maine to Georgia and out as far as Indiana.”
Thanks to Mike Rice for band info and photo.
