Jazz pianist, band leader, and teacher. His groups have performed at the Diamondback Lounge, Playboy Club, dances at the Liberty Rec Council Hall… Many members throughout years including Andy Gargano (drums), Joe Skiavo (tenor sax)… In ‘70s and ‘80s performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Bob and his Jazz Septet released a CD in 1997.

Bob Fields played piano in Hank Levy’s old rehearsal band. He was great. I saw/heard his group at the Diamondback Lounge. I took piano lessons with him when I was preparing to go to Peabody. He did the basic method books, but he also taught me jazz piano. He had kinda short fingers, and he showed me the stretching exercises he did to compensate.
