Formed in 1972 as a merger between the rhythm section of United Endeavor and some of the top players from the Towson State Jazz Ensemble. Members included Stan Turk (guitar), Scott Young (bass ex-Neu-Velles & Emersons), Brad Kirkpatrick (keyboards), Joe Stamboni (drums ex-Jeremiah), Lester ‘Pete’ Gifford (vocals ex-U.S.of A.), Rick Cohen (sax), Bill Warfield (trumpet ex-Beggar’s Opera), and Carl Conn (trombone ex-Huns). Conn was later replaced with Bob Mickey (ex-Monarchs, Band of Gold), who was in turn replaced with John ‘Griz’ Gifford.

Falstaff played the college circuit, proms, bull roasts, Latin Casino…

Turk went on to join Phred, Other Half, Pzazz, Secrets… Stamboni was later with 4-Way Street, Phoenix… Warfield toured with Stan Kenton Orchestra and was later a member of Baltimore’s Both Worlds, and Rumba Club. Griz Gifford later with Smithfield Freeman.
