Mod rock band originally formed to perform in a talent show at Overlea High School. The group consisted of Ron Rouch (guitar), T.J. Thompson (guitar), Skip Wolfe (bass), Lester Lumpkin (drums, vocals), and with the addition of Linda (lead vocals) the group was known as Linda & the Electra-Tones… They successfully performed the songs “What’d I Say,” and “Mockingbird” at the talent show and soon began taking on other gigs.

The Electra-Tones performed British rock and popular hits. They could be seen at the Aberdeen Service Club, Fort Meade Teen Center, Fort Holabird, Baltimore U.S.O., Aberdeen Officer’s Club…

Toward the end the group added keyboard player / vocalist Rodney Stancliff (ex-Serpents), and Lumpkin was replaced with Dennis Kalwa (drums ex-Impact).

Rouch later played for the Noblemen, Golden Impalas, Swingmasters, Collection & Civics, Collection. He could also be seen in the ‘80s with the Sonics soul band. Wolfe went on to join Lemon-Lime… Kalwa was later with White Lightning, Obsession…
