Jazz vocalist. Left Baltimore to go on the road with Lionel Hampton. Her recordings with Hampton include “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool,” “I’ll Never Be Free,” and “A Kiss Was Just a Kiss.” Curry also recorded with Don Elliott, Wes Montgomery, and solo releases on Vee Jay Records. In Baltimore in the early ‘60s she sang with the Count Lantz Quartet with Ethel Ennis and Ruby Glover.
