Roots country guitarist / vocalist / songwriter originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Brine started out in hometown rock bands including the Trans-Atlantic Subway who’s single “Servant of The People” was included on a Pebbles garage rock compilation album in 1984.
He later turned his attention to folk and traditional style music. While living in Nashville during the ‘70s-80s he released a number of singles on the Door Knob, and Roxy record labels.
Brine relocated to Maryland in the mid-‘80s and released a number of Americana/roots style records including the 1992 song “New Blue Yodel,” a tribute to Jimmie Rodgers, that earned him Grammy nominations. Locally he could be seen at the Bayou Blues Café…
