Sister station to WCAO-AM, the FM side originally played classical music. In the ‘70s former WCBM and WCAO-AM morning man Larry Hall transformed the programming to a disco format – which morphed into an urban contemporary R&B powerhouse eventually known as WXYV-FM 102.7 (V-103). Personalities at WXYV included Sandi Mallory (also worked at WEAA, WLIF), Randy Dennis, Mark Williams, Jean Ross, Tim Watts, Roy Sampson (Program Director -see bio), DJ Bee, Frank Ski, LaDonna Monet, J.B. Brown, Mary C., B.J. Lewis, and Elektra recording artist L’il Mo.

In the ‘00s the station switched frequencies with WQSR and continued to play contemporary R&B music at 105.7 FM.

Ski later went to 92Q, then continued in radio in Atlanta.
