WCBM morning jock Joe Knight released an album of his zany humor in 1961.

In 1969 the station switched to Adult Contemporary programming. Personalities through the ‘70s included Randy Daniels, Dan Donovan (69-’70s-moved on to WFIL, Philadelphia), Dennis Murray, Larry Walton, Paul Rodgers (ex-WCAO), Bob Galen, Ron Nabors, Larry Walton, Tom Davis, Ken Merson (‘The Merson Person’ ‘74-82), Dave Arlington (‘74-80), Jack Edwards, Cleo Brooks, Mike Rossi as Chris Michaels (‘80 – later with WGRX). VP/GM Don Kelley (‘64-70). Chris Saunders (formerly guitarist of Froggy & The Gremlins) joined WCBM as a newscaster in 1969. He later worked as a DJ at WFMM (pre-WPOC), and WYRE (Annapolis). Veterans Lee Case and Joe Knight teamed up in the early ‘70s as a two-man morning show.
Case worked at WCBM util the station changed formats in the early 1980s. He moved on to WBKZ (later known as WWIN-FM) and later moved to WOKY in Philadelphia.
An early ‘80s novelty record release “My Bawlmer” (DM 4546), written by Joe Knight and narrated by Dan Arundel (Garey Lambert), was presented by WCBM and Santa Claus Anonymous.
680-AM WCBM switched to a news station in 1982. It continued in the ‘00s as a News-Talk-Business-Information and Sports station. The morning team featured former 1960s WCAO jock Frank Luber. Account Executive Jeff Ashkenasy (Broadcasting Institute of Maryland alumnus).

Hall later worked at WCAO and WXYV. Merson also worked at WBSB (B-104), and WWMX (Mix 106) in the ‘80s. He was heard in the ‘00s on WQSR 102.7-FM. Bobby Berger hosted a popular call-in talk radio show “Bobby B’s Baltimore” on WCBM-AM 680 from the late-‘90s through 2006.
