Dixieland band originally formed at the Strawhat Club where they played nightly. Also seen at McMahon’s in Dundalk. Members included Tony Mack (leader, tenor banjo, washboard), Pat Simering (cornet), Wayne Mules (piano -see bio), ‘Hap’ Benneman (piano), Jim Riley (vocals, banjo), Frank Wiedefeld (tuba ex-Bay City Seven), Giff Blaylock (tuba) replaced with Herman Schmouckue, Ed Platz (banjo)… Riley and Blaylock had been members of the Gangplank Ragtime Band.

After the Strawhat closed in the mid-‘80s the group continued performing at many clubs, festivals and dances.

Wiedefeld also performed old time jazz with the Fallstaff Five Plus Two, and the Paramount Orchestra. Blaylock also went on to the Fallstaff Five Plus Two… Riley and Blaylock later with the Last Chance Jazz Band…
