R&B group of veteran musicians formed “in pursuit of musical excellence.” Charles DeVaughn Wright (lead vocals), Joseph ‘Jose’ Holly (keyboards), Harlin Gray (guitar, vocals), Dennis Pearson (guitar –Future Now, Some Friends of Mine…), James Lowry (bass), Rodney Jones (bass), Bobby Ricks (drums, vocals).
Savvy performed original music and covers locally and made an appearance on the WJZ-TV program “Shakedown.”
Their 1986 record “Mizz Mean” was produced by Guy Curtis, Dennis Pearson and Savvy. B-side remix produced by Lee Townsend.
