Aberdeen based bluegrass group in existence since early 1970s performing throughout the MD, PA, DE areas and beyond.
Formed in 1986 by Dean Sapp (guitar, dobro, vocals), early group members included Charlie Edwards (guitar), Donn Kidd (bass), Tim Kidd (fiddle), and Jeff Kidd (mandolin). Jeff went on to play with Gary Ferguson’s Satyr Hill Band and others before returning to the Harford Express. Other members of the group included Darin Hirchy (bass), Tom Valiquette (guitar), George Osing (banjo), Mike Harnett, Jr. (fiddle), Jack Wells (bass), Danny Curtis (mandolin ex-Dukes of Bluegrass, Windy Ridge…), Ray Lewis (dobro), and Tommy Reeves (bass -previous bands include Excalibur, Satyr Hill Band…)…

The Harford Express headlined the Australian Ausgrass Festival in 1998.
