Oldies cover band formed in 2012. Original members were Iris Hirsch – female lead singer, Tony Monotone (male lead singer, organ), Dave Kroop (guitar, keyboard), Dave Armbruster (bass -Sentries, Del Capos, Rivieras), Chet Higgins (drums, percussion), Bill Reichert (sax), and Bob Armbruster (trumpet).
Additional Members of The Retro-Rockets featured Glenn Bullion (male lead singer, guitar), bass guitarists Skip Harrison (Glenn & The Gemtones) and Bill Enderlin, keyboard George Toth, drummers Bob Jones (ex-CTRB, Sentries), Steve Parezo (Customade, Highridge…), and Gary Cejnowski, saxophonists Larry McCoy (Mascaleros, Unit 1), Charles Smith (Mascaleros, Rob Reason Group), and Eyes (Howard) Eisenberg.
“Iris Hirsch has been the female lead singer of the Retro-Rockets (since formed in 2012). She has been recognized by CBS Local as one of Baltimore’s Top Local Female Musicians. She performed in the Washington D.C./Baltimore area as a solo artist and as half of the duos Partners in Song and The Baby Boomers performing songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, as well as in duos with Joe Spatarella and Dan Shepherd performing original and cover folk rock. She has opened for well-known singer/songwriters Dave Wilcox and Dave Nachmannoff. Greg Yost a writer for Music Monthly once said, “It is clear that Hirsch is vocally gifted and she knows how to use it.” A fan once told Iris, he would come to “hear her sing the phonebook.” (Quoted from Rearview Window website).

Glenn and Iris, both have been performing for over 50 years, and are inductees to the Maryland Entertainment Hall of Fame. The two also perform as Review Mirror.
