Bittersweet was basically Bobby J.’s Generations after Bobby left the group. Don Rogers (bass), and Tony Montone (keyboards) were both former members of the Generations who had moved on to form Dryed Ice. The band was accompanied on occasion by guitarist Bobby J (Davis) and billed as Bobby J & the Bittersweet. Other members included Dave Lowery (bass), Howard Zizzi (drums), John Eid (keyboards ex-Rising Sons)…
Bittersweet could be heard at many top Baltimore clubs including the Rhapsody, Gallery, Dulaney Inn, Golden Horn. Performed at a Club Venus concert on April 4, 1974 along with Joy, Mixed Nuts, Perchance, and Contraband.
Rogers went on to play in Steppin’ Out, Monopoly… Zizzi later with Snickers, Bootcamp, Tiffany… Eid later with Contraband…
