The Pawns – circa 1995

After Tankersley’s departure from the Pawns in 1998 a new lead vocalist was added. The group went through numerous name changes and by the early-mid ‘00s were performing under the name ‘Seven-14.’

Tankersley and Roat formed an acoustic duo in 1997 and performed in St. Croix and Grand Cayman Islands on and off for several years. In the ‘00s Tankersley continued performing as a solo artist under the stage name ‘Ronnie Buss’ for one-nighters, weddings, corporate parties, as well as a regular monthly gig at Windows on The Bay in Pasadena. In 2006 the original Pawns reunited for a highly anticipated  performance at the Third Annual Great Baltimore Fire Chili Cookoff in Fells Point. The group featured Tankersley, Roat, Serafini, Smith, and former Sway member Marty Philip.
