A Baltimore native, traveled to Los Angeles in 1956. He was a backup vocalist for Specialty Records during the late ‘50s and sang for the Billy Williams Revue in early ‘60s. He issued recordings on Hamilton (‘59), 20th Fox (‘66-67), Kent (‘70), United Artists (‘71), Alla (‘73), and in 1976 he teamed up with Ernie Fields, Jr. (son of the famous band leader) and recorded their version of “Breakin’ Up Is Hard to Do”, which became an R&B hit on Calla Records.
