Indie record label originally created for the release of a Wally & the Weirdos single in 1983. The term Neat Face was a slang expression in the Caton Manor neighborhood where several of the Weirdos grew up. The single “Psychiatric Help” b/w “Unemployment Blues” by Wally and the Weirdos (#NFR-001) was released in May of 1983. The 45 rpm release of 1000 copies was financed by the band.

Gary Brotman and ex-Weirdo Lee Doll incorporated NeatFace records in 1985 and released “Rockin’ the Work Day Away” b/w “Be Weird” as by the Russ Krauch Band in 1986 (#NFR-002). These songs were recorded by Wally and the Weirdos and were previously unreleased due to the disbanding of the group.

Dickie Westcott’s “Harlot Woman” b/w “My Broken Heart” was the next release during the summer of 1986 (#NFR-053). Dickie is the brother of Bruce Westcott (Pimlico Hotel Lounge performer). Dickie’s younger brother Al Westcott was in the band Broken Arrow.

Early 1987 Neat Face Records, Inc. released the LP “Bullets from Heaven” by The Baltek (#NFR-72054). Tracks were recorded at Intergalactic Music in New York, Hit & Run Studios in Gaithersburg, MD. and Bratt Studio in Woodlawn.

“Secret Agent Man” b/w “My Shayna” by Lee Doll was released in January 1990 (#NFR-004).

Lee Doll’s self-titled album came out in July 1997 (CD #NFR-1111), followed by “Second Chance” by Lee Doll (CD #NFR-1221). Lee’s third album “Think-Do & Say” was released in early 2007, as was the CD “Little Miss TNT: Louanna Lee” (Lee’s daughter).

“The Best of Wally and the Weirdos”, a 2 CD set collecting all the known recordings of the group was released in 2005 (#NFR-2005).

Bill Pratt’s Bratt Studio in Woodlawn, MD. is where all recordings took place unless otherwise noted. NeatFace Records, Inc. continued to supply songs and talent to various local films and commercials.
