Acoustic guitar driven rock group morphed from the band Beyond Words. Original members Lisa Matthews (guitar, vocals), Mike Gehl (guitar -Inevitables), and Mark Evanko (bass -Inevitable), added William Elzevir (violin, mandolin)… The quartet competed in the Yamaha Musicquest competition ultimately traveling to Japan where they were chosen as winner.

By 1996 added drummer Ron Campbell for their first album “Maybe She Will.”

Drummers for Love Riot included Joe Manfre (ex-Elements of Design), and Ron Campbell (ex-Last Picture Show, Inevitable).

Seen at Fletcher’s, Towsontown Festival, Nottingham’s, Preakness Party, Rams Head (Annapolis), 1998 Lillith Fair at Merriweather Post Pavilion…

Their song “Killing Time” was featured on the TV series “Homicide,” and released on a special 4-song CD 1997.

Gehl and Matthews later formed a children’s-oriented pop group called Milkshake (that also featured drummer Tom Moon of the group BiggerBetterFasterMore…) and released the CD’s “Happy Songs” (2002), and “Bottle of Sunshine” (2004)…
