According to drummer Taso Kotsos, Love Diamonds “was going to be a pop group, late 80’s material, with only male vocals. Michael Sciuto (bass), Tony Sciuto (guitar), Frank Grande (keys), and me (Taso Kotsos) still playing electronic samples for drums.”

“The concept was to play more of the heavier late 80’s songs; Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Power Station, etc.”

“After taking up residency at Sippers Club in the Loch Raven Plaza, Tony got the call to go on the road with The Little River Band, that’s when Rob Fahey came on board. We switched out Tony’s original songs for Rob’s”.

“Shortly after Rob joined we changed the name to Small Talk. short lived, but in Rob’s words “a cool and fun band.”

“The band was together for about a year, playing Maxwell’s, and a few other clubs, but then the clubs were closing due to new DWI laws. The band was done, I packed up and moved to L.A..
