A Dundalk based blues / rock band consisting of Danny Focht (bass), Don Muenzing (keyboards) – (both formerly of Vandells, White Lightning, Aaron’s Rod). Also Steve Rakas (lead guitar ex-Malfa), John Hummer (drums), and (Larry) Cid Cramer (rhythm guitar ex-Rysing Sun).

Klap performed some original tunes along with album cuts by artists such as Keef Hartley, Blind Faith, Stones, Rory Gallagher, etc. They were seen at the Steelworkers Hall, U.A.W. Hall, and various recreation halls. On December 11, 1972 Klap held a “Stone Cold Fever” dance at St. John’s, an event named in honor of their rendition of the Humble Pie song.

Focht moved away in 1971 to attend college. He returned briefly in the mid-’70s before moving to Pittsburgh where he founded and became president of his own successful bio-optics company in the ‘00s. Focht continued to play occasionally in pick-up bands for enjoyment. Kramer went on to join the Denny Romans Group…
