R&B and jazz band from Towson area. Members included Dave Michaels (lead vocals), Scott Jordan (guitar), Steve Sackett (bass ex-Hitchhikers), Benny Cellitto (organ ex-Concords), and Burns Waters (drums). Michaels, Jordan, and Waters had formerly been members of the Marauders. Michaels, and Waters were with the Graham Chambers System before rejoining Jordan to form this new group.
B.J. & the Betrayers performed regularly at the Keystone. Double bills featured the group with Benny Johnson & the Soul Serenaders, Tray ‘n the Diamonds, the Majestics, etc…
Jordan went on to play for Morgan’s Pirates, Majestics… Cellitto later joined Hot Property, Paco, Pynz, Teddy Bell band, Goin’ Back…
