Jazz group frequently seen at Germano’s Trattoria in Little Italy, as well as many dinner clubs, American Legion halls, etc… The group was led by saxophonist Jim Lockard aka ‘Jimmy Slick’, who played in pop/rock bands The Galaxies, The Strollers, and Al Knight’s Untouchables before switching to jazz in the early ‘60s. Locally Jim played with many of the area’s finest jazz musicians including O’Donnel Levy, Bill Byrd, Albert Dailey, and many others.
