Hard rock band formed in 1983. Larry Hinshaw (lead vocals), Brian Jack Giacubeno (guitar), Jimmy Schaefer (guitar), Phil Wiser (bass), and Chad Channing (drums).

The band opened for Anthrax in 1985. They were a perennial favorite in Maryland Musician Magazine Readers Polls in ‘80s. Played clubs throughout Baltimore / Washington area.

Channing later replaced with Steve Albinak, who was later replaced with John Allen. Guitarist Nicky Kay was added to the group. This group released the “Ruffhouse” EP.

By late 1980s Wiser had been replaced with bassist Marion Idzi, and Brian Jack took over the role of lead vocalist. The group signed with Chrysalis Records in 1989 and toured nationally in support of their 1990 album “Rat Race.”

Jack left in 1991 to pursue a solo career. He was replaced with Ty Crook (guitar, lead vocals), who was in turn replaced with Tommy McCrae. Also in 1991 Bobby Wilson was briefly with the group on drums.

Record releases include the 1986 EP “Ruffhouse” (Rampant Records), 1990 album “Rat Race” (Chrysalis CD F221758), and CD “Long Way (in 1993). Their song “Hot Seat” was included on the 1987 local band compilation by radio station 97 Underground (“The Beast from The East… Vol. 1” (PCA UG-97).

John Allen and Idzi both later with bands Starseed Speed, and UXB. The Brian Jack band performed at clubs throughout the region into the ‘00s.

Child’s Play reunited in 2003 for a concert at the Recher Theater in Towson.
