R&B vocalist formerly with the Plants. George embarked on a solo career in the early ‘60s.

In 1962 he released his first solo single with backing by the Unisons. The backing vocal group was actually Sonny & the Dukes. George continued to release some great soul records throughout the ‘60s. His 1966 song “When I Stop Lovin’ You” includes backing vocals by the Jive Five.

Dick Feers & the New Unisons (see business card) included Tom Fones, Rich Rako, Bud Kirmse, Frank Rako, and vocalist George Jackson.
