R&B singer and Bay Sound recording artist was backed by Nick Barker’s band (ex-Uptowns) including the Chaumont’s Rhythm Section with Changor.

Clay sang with Peaches & Herb, Brenda & the Sentries, The Princetons, also as lead vocalist with the Baltimore group Cindy & the Censations (later known as New Censation) appearing on their 1970s recordings on the Pride label.
