Originals and covers hard rock band named GaStEm after members Rob GAlpin (guitar, lead vocals), Craig STegall (drums), and Mark EMon (bass). Sound man Mark Schenker (guitar) became the fourth member. Seen at the Rabbit’s Foot in Frederick.
In 1985 the original trio released a cassette album “Catch the Flame.” A second cassingle “Do It Like Wild” featured the quartet.
GaStEm shared billing at shows with Wrathchild, and Monarch.
Stegall left and was replaced with A.D. Adams (drums ex-Monarch), and the group was renamed Centerfold. This lineup opened shows for KIX.
Emon was the next to leave the group and Schenker switched to bass guitar. Eventually the group added a second guitar with Kent Dorian (ex-Monarch). The group toured nationally.

In 2018 a GaStEm CD titled “GaStEm III” was released on Eonian Records out of Finland. The CD featured Galpin, Steagall and Schenker.
